The Blue Convertible

Having some great weather very hot, but not humid.  Went to Ikea and purchased a new chair for my craft room.  I share this space with my husband - he has one desk, I have two and a table that pulls out if I need it!  If you purchase anything at Ikea you have to put it together yourself.  My husband uses a walker, but he decided he was going to do the honours of assembling the chair!  Did a mighty fine job with only minimal help from me.  Now I feel like a queen in my new green chair with the high back!

This card is for my oldest son.  He drives a dark blue Convertible in the summer, but light blue is easier to colour!  The image is a rubber stamp from Lili of the Valley.  I coloured the image with Copics and silver pen and used some Glossy accents on the windshield.  Used a brush and Distress Ink on the grass and sky.  Tried to add flying birds to the sky, but the stamp slipped, and the birds went behind the clouds. DP from my stash and sentiment computer generated.

I used this sketch from Paper Take Weekly:

The Beautician

Seem to have been away from my blog for a long time, was away for a few days golfing - but that was earlier in the month.  Since then have been busy with gardening, getting hubby to all his appointments and I just don't know where the rest of the time went, always something to do!  But, at last we have been having some beautiful weather!

My card is for my daughter-in-law for her birthday.  She has a shop in her home and keeps very busy, her clients miss her if she goes away for a few days. She does not live close enough for me to be a regular customer.

The vintage  image is from TLC and I have coloured with Copics and framed it with a die cut from Spellbinders, using other die cuts from the same folder on the inside of the card. The DP is from K&Comapny. The sentiment came with the image and I just added some small blue pearls to the frame.  The flower on the inside is from my stash.
